Goat Wall Mt. Methow Valley, WA

With the new year just beginning I've decided to start posting a weekly image. I have several reasons for this, I wanted to provide an opportunity to share some of my fine art works and produce a scheduled entry for this blog. I feel one image a week should be a good pace. So look for a new image on Thursdays every week.

This first image comes from the Methow Valley in North Central Washington. It's a fantastic Nordic skiing area. In fact it is the largest trail system for cross-country skiing in the United States. This is the upper end of the valley and this amazing home has the most incredible views. I composed this shot using the trees on ether side to help frame image and cropped it for a wider than normal aspect ratio. I love the detail in the mountain cliff face, the fresh snow helps to accentuate it. You can click on the image for a slightly larger view.
